The women who are pregnant should be treated with utmost care, because they are sensitive to certain types of drugs, and making any wrong recommendation might aggravate their case. Moreover, epilepsy, cardiac disease, hepatic insufficiency, dermatitis and renal failure are some of the factors which should be taken into chief consideration.

There are two types of treatments which can be given to the malarial patients. One is Suppressive treatment and other is presumptive treatment. In suppressive treatment, the administration of chloroquine and blood schizonticidal drugs is involved. While in Presumptive treatment, the drugs like choloroquine should be immediately directed, because it is best to alleviate the effect of parasite and prevents its spread at earlier stages.
